The atrial natriuretic factor protein
Atrial natriuretic factor (ANF) is a potent vasoactive substance synthesized
in mammalian atria and is thouguht to play a key role in cardiovascular
homeostasis, and has a CGMP-stimulating activity. It can cause atrial amyloidosis.
